Spokane Area Council Blood Bank

Did you know? The Spokane Area Council maintains a blood bank for square and folk dancers and their family members.

You may donate to the bank through:

  • Sacred Heart Hospital at 101 W 8th Ave (509) 474-3131, Spokane, WA.
  • Spokane Valley Hospital at 12606 E Mission Ave, Spokane Valley (509) 924-6650.
  • Inland Northwest Blood Center at 210 W Cataldo, Spokane, WA (509) 624-0151.
  • You may also donate at Blood bank mobiles throughout the community almost daily. For location of mobile blood drives: www.inbc2.org/mobile_drives.aspx  or call (800) 423-0151.

Just let them know you're a square dancer and account # H680!

To get blood from the account:
1. Get The Blood.  Tell them that blood will be released later from Account # H680.
2. Call any of the following:
 Ed Ruescher, (208) 664-9820, Beth Barnes, (509) 209 6540, Bob or Claudia Amsbury, (509) 328-5175, or Edna Godley, (509) 926-7492.
3. Let them know your name (Square Dancer), home address and the club you belong to and the amount of blood used
.
 If it is a family member, let them know the relationship to you.  Then the release of the blood will be Authorized

In order for the Vice President to verify that the requestor is a member of a square dance club, they must be listed on a Spokane Area Council square, round or clogging club's roster with the State Membership Chairman. Clubs, make sure that everyone in your club is listed.  When new members are added, make sure that they are listed on your roster with the State Membership Chairman.  The Vice President will verify the name with the State Membership Chairman.
